Walking to the girls’ apartment, I cannot help but notice some abandoned buildings and the sad state of some houses. Their apartment has all the necessities, only Viktoria is missing a mattress. We chat more over tea and sweets as they tell me about rowdy neighbours, electricity cut-offs and leaking bathrooms. Maria also talks about finding true love and Viktoria about her aspirations to work in a fashion industry. As I start taking their pictures, I feel that our roads will cross again.
